Frequently Asked Questions
What resources are available?
Our adult student specialists will help you find the programs and resources designed for you as a working professional.
There’s too much information. Where do I begin?
The first step is to ask us! We really want to help you make this investment in yourself, and once you have a few answers, you’ll quickly begin to know what other questions to ask, and who to ask for the answers.
I work full time. How do I find the time to complete my degree?
Our online and evening classroom degree programs offer flexible scheduling that will allow you opportunities to take courses in the evening on weekends, or in small chunks of time throughout your busy schedule.
Is this the right time for me to go back to college?
If you are reading this page, the answer is probably yes. We will work with you to find a program that fits your needs and will help you reach your goals.
I went to school 20 years ago. Have my credits expired? How much further do I need to go to finish my degree?
College credits do not expire. You may be pleasantly surprised at how close you already are to reaching your goal!
I don’t want to go into debt.
There are financial resources to help you, so inquire at SOU’s Â鶹´«Ã½Å®Éñ website. Ask your employer if they have tuition reimbursement. Take a look at the return on your investment if you complete your degree – will you have the opportunity to increase your salary?
I don’t know where to go or what questions to ask.
We’re here to help with that. Contact Miranda Stiles at stilesm1@sou.edu to find out what it would take to complete your degree.
I am not sure I can do it.
Yes, you can! The first step is just finding out the information. Take it one step at a time.
