SOU Votes Initiative
Â鶹´«Ã½Å®Éñ is launching SOU Votes, a campus-wide initiative dedicated to nonpartisan civic engagement and helping every student participate in the democratic process.
What is SOU Votes?
SOU Votes emphasizes:
- Civic Engagement: Encouraging students to participate in their communities.
- Voter Education: Connecting students with reliable, nonpartisan voting information.
- Student Participation: Creating opportunities for students to get involved on and off campus.
Building a Culture of Civic Engagement
For the first time, Â鶹´«Ã½Å®Éñ is participating in the ALL IN Campus Democracy Challenge, following an invitation from Oregon Secretary of State Tobias Read. Through SOU Votes, the university is joining colleges and universities across the country in creating meaningful opportunities for students to become informed and active members of their communities. SOU Votes reflects SOU’s commitment to nonpartisan civic engagement, democratic participation, and preparing students to be engaged citizens, both on campus and beyond.
