The Certificate in Conducting is designed to equip students with the necessary knowledge and skills to lead a musical ensemble as a conductor. Students who complete this certificate will leave as more competitive and complete candidates for the diverse opportunities that exist as ensemble leaders in the field of music or to further their education in graduate studies. Every student in the Certificate in Conducting will explore subjects through their coursework that will introduce them to vital topics such as baton technique, rehearsal skills, score study, ensemble administration, applied musical instruction, ear training, and error detection.
