HEX delivers a student-centered program that emphasizes mentorship and collaboration with faculty and peers while gaining skills through classroom and fieldwork. The curriculum is optimized for careers in teaching, fitness, coaching, sport psychology, health promotion, and physical therapy. Students expand their understanding of the body, psyche, skill acquisition, fitness, and the art and science of guiding others in health-related quests.
Students will have a variety of field settings available for practical work, including public schools, training rooms, fitness clubs, medical settings, and camps. Graduates will enter the workforce highly prepared for a diverse and challenging professional field.

Degree Roadmap
The program begins with introductory coursework that cements understanding of the myriad aspects of health and wellness. Soon thereafter, students begin sophisticated coursework that incorporates state-of-the-art concepts. Upper level coursework involves two separate fieldwork requirements, and summits with the Capstone.
Capstone
The capstone combines the near-graduate’s expertise and final field experience into a body of work shared with peers and faculty. Capstone presentations tend to be moving, stimulating, and inspiring.
