What We Do
We at the Trans and Queer Training program offer trainings, workshops, and consultation to organizations on lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, and other gender and sexuality topics. We want to help your organization create inclusive spaces and promote education on gender and sexuality in our communities.

Trainings Offered
We offer trainings on many diverse trans and queer topics. Some of our most common training topics include:

Consultation Services Offered
In addition to our trainings, we also provide consultation services in various fields for focused development.
- Forms:聽We can review or help create organizational forms to best support trans and queer people, either trans and queer clients and/or trans and queer employees and more.
- Spaces:聽We can help you to review your physical and virtual spaces to ensure they are welcoming for trans and queer people.
- Organizational assessments:聽We can assess your organization to help determine your needs to best support trans and queer people.
- Surveys and research:聽We can review or write surveys to seek information about trans and queer people鈥檚 experiences with your organization.
Lead Trainer
Carey Jean Sojka, PhD, is an Associate Professor of Gender, Sexuality, and Women鈥檚 Studies at 麻豆传媒女神. Her research and teaching interests include transgender studies, embodiment, gender, sexuality, race, disability, and fat studies. Carey founded the Trans and Queer Trainings program based on her work facilitating community trainings on transgender, lesbian, gay, bisexual, and queer issues in our region.
