students at SOU.<\/p>\n<h3>2026-2027 Award Information<\/h3>\n<p><span class=\"heavy-man\">A GPA of 3.75 to 3.949 is required to receive the Laurels Scholarship.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>The Laurels Scholarship awards scholars as follows:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Oregon residents: $3,000 per year = $12,000 over four years<\/li>\n<li>WUE state residents: $2,000 per year = $8,000 over four years<\/li>\n<li>Non-residents: $10,000 per year = $40,000 over four years<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Students must enroll at SOU in the fall term of their first year, and be enrolled in at least 12 credits each term in order to receive this award.<\/p>\n<h3>To Be Considered<\/h3>\n<p>Students should submit the <a href=\"\/admissions\/apply\/how-to-apply\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">SOU Admissions application<\/a> by February 1st for priority consideration and <a href=\"\/admissions\/apply\/freshman\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">submit all required documentation<\/a> to the Admissions Office at SOU. Students who submit their application for admission after February 1st will be considered for scholarships, subject to availability.<\/p>\n<h3>Scholarship Renewal<\/h3>\n<p>The Laurels Scholarship is renewable for up to 12 academic terms (excluding summer) within a four-year period.
