first-year applicants for merit-based scholarships when they apply for <strong data-start=\"277\" data-end=\"300\">fall term admission<\/strong> by the <strong data-start=\"308\" data-end=\"336\">February 1 priority date<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"341\" data-end=\"490\">Students who submit their admission application <strong data-start=\"389\" data-end=\"409\">after February 1<\/strong> may still be considered for scholarships, subject to funding availability.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"492\" data-end=\"716\">Please note: Merit-based scholarship consideration is available only for fall term starts and <strong data-start=\"590\" data-end=\"645\">does not apply to resident-by-exception populations<\/strong>, including <strong data-start=\"657\" data-end=\"675\">American Samoa<\/strong> and the <strong data-start=\"684\" data-end=\"707\">North State Promise<\/strong> program.<\/p>\n<p class=\"dig-30\">Additional scholarships may be awarded to Available to all incoming and current SOU students.
